1998 Trans Am WS6 6-speed T56. Is currently a roller; engine and trans are out of car, some interior panels are loose, seats, console loose. PHOTO OF ENGINE IN CAR IS FOR REFERENCE, ENGINE IS OUT. Located in Springfield Missouri. Black with charcoal interior. Most normal options. Car was all stock except radio. Everything is there and included. Faded paint, dings, scratches, slight damage in front bumper cover. Original WS6 Ram Air hood is excellent.
Does not currently run. Has spun rod bearing.
I bought this from a neighbor hoping to get it running. It's been sitting outside for a few years. T-tops leaked a little, so some surface rust in a couple floor seams.
I got it started up briefly and it made fairly loud knocking noises. I dropped the K-member with the engine and trans. After removing the oil pan, I found a spun rod bearing. Since this is going to be a more involved restoration, I decided this project is for someone else. I don't want to patch it up just to get it running. It really needs fixed up the right way.
I think the transmission and rear axle are good but I have never had the car driving.
The engine/trans is out of the car. The K-member is re-installed so that the car is a roller. Tires hold air, original WS6 wheels have some corrosion and curb rash. Drivers seat has some rips. One rear lower seat cushion is no good. Console/dash all good, one small crack in dash pad top. Headliner needs replaced. Door panels are great shape, most other interior parts are decent.
Had aftermarket radio and sub-woofer set-up that has been removed but can be included. Has the aluminum driveshaft.
The car is worth more as parts but I hate to see another future collectible being destroyed. Hoping someone will buy it complete instead of me parting it out. I will give this ad till the end of June and then think about parting it out.

I am new to this site and not sure what i am doing. I am looking for a 2002mpontiac trans am firehawk coupe. Perfer red with black interior. Would consider others if the ar is sharp like som with black interior white with black interior, dark blue with tan interior, looking to find low miles and pay according. Excuse apitals formi have trouble seeing small print, i have seen some on ls1 but do not know how to contact owner joe 6362300722 thanks
