an ls6 or fast intake would be a great bolt on, they flow much better than a ls1.before i owned it, the car had a 228 cam, and all supporting valve trane upgrades. you should be able to just switch out the cam only and be good to go. you have arp head studs as well if you wanted to give it some nitrous. i'm not a nos guy, but its your call. figure out what your going to do w the car before buying the cam though. i intended on doing head, cam only on my ta. now i'm thinking turbo or blower and my cam is'nt good w a power adder.
I owen the Blue SS. This is my first LS1 I had no idea they were this good.Did you set it up for the 1/4 mile or for handling? I plan on puting a cam and LS6 intake in this winter, will I need to put new springs in with it, or are the springs in it stronge enough?
fine, it has a good lump to it, but very streetable. not even too rough at cold start. th231-236. never did get to the track w/ the ss, used it as a fun street car
