Bad experience with a machine shop in IL

Default Bad experience with a machine shop in IL
After sending my short block LS1 to SpeedTech on June 4th and just recently getting it back after somehow being charged over $2000 for what was supposed to be @ first just washing the block and installing new cam bearings... John @ SpeedTech somehow found a way to rack up quite a tab for me. $2000+ and he didn't even reassemble the short block! His original timeline of 9 weeks turn around ended up as FOUR and ONE HALF MONTHS!

If you're looking for a machine shop in NW IL, stay away from SpeedTech in Cary, IL.

**** that, I wouldn't pay it. Let him keep the ******, $2K can easily replace it.
