Anyone work in the IT field?

I'm a network engineer for a smaller company that deals primarily in Cisco equipment. Prior to that I worked at Geek Squad and Firedog (hated that **** so much).

I was until june of 2008, now i'm an unpaid freelancer, ie unemployed, lol. i'm not sure if i want to go back to another IT job or not. most seem to have shitty pay and bad work environments.
