NEED HELP dummy light is on Code PO336A Got 1998 ls1 that is giving me the code PO336a (crankshaft Position Sensor Circuit Performance) what would cause this and what would be the fix!

i havent tried anything yet, but i been trying to teach my wife how to drive stick and it been a rough ride and it was killed alot so i dont know if this would cause it from the jerking???
