Looking for support We are trying to garner support for a drag strip to be built in Lancaster County, Nebraska. As it stands, people in the Lincoln/Omaha area have to choose between Kearney and Kansas City when wanting to run at the nearest 1/4 mile track.
I created this facebook group hoping to get people to join and show that there is a ton of support for us to have a dragstrip! There is a gentlemen by the name of Greg Sanford who at one point was willing to foot the entire bill to build the dragstrip himself, but was turned down by the city council citing such reasons as noise pollution and property being devalued. Those are both incredibly minor compared to the pros such as having an outlet for those who are passionate about cars, pumping money into the city, and helping businesses out.
