Price to rebuild engine?
Price to rebuild engine? Hey, I've been having problems with my motor in my camaro, its only got 1000 miles on a fresh rebuild, but its been having oil pressure problems and some ticking/knocking. I found that I pinched the pickup tube seal, and after fixing that problem the pressure somewhat improved, but when hot it still idles at or below 20 psi and higher rpm only goes up to 40-50, and the noise is still there. Its got a new slp pump in it and I want to check the lifters still and whatever else I can come up with. But if it comes down to it and I've done bearing damage, I'd like to see if I can get a ballpark from a local sponser or someone to inspect and rebuild my motor if I bring them the shortblock. and suggestions are always welcome!
Sounds like a good deal, but I dont really have the cash right now. Plus I've already dumped tons of cash into this motor as is.. although my short block may be worth some money, even in need of a rebuild..
