Another Gateway Cruise coming up saturday nov 5 at the south county HOOters. Starts at 11 am. Destination is the Eckert's in Belleville, IL for lunch and activities. Dunno the route or what they have planned at Eckerts. They usually include a lot twisties in the route. He assured me the East stl will be bypassed.

well i was pulling my motor lol actually i was hoping to have my heads on before the cruise. i was actually gonna try and make it. saw the post on facebook
Hey guys I am new here and have a question. I am looking to yank the 302 out of my FFR daytona and go to a Aluminum LS. All the local Cobra guys will probably shun me so I may have to hang out with the Chevy guys!
Are there any St Louis area sources for LS motors? I need one out of a wrecked or part out car as I need everything.
Also is there a chevy equivelent to stlmustangs.com ?

It is alot of fun! It weighs 2400 lbs now and I am shooting on paring it down to 2200 lbs hence the need for an aluminum engine that will make 500 hp!

No one I know of that specializes in takeouts around StL. You can always keep an eye out on car-part.com
I bought both of mine off ebay on auctions that expired, then lowballed an offer by email. Shipping was about $100 to a local freight terminal.

I just came back home to north stl after 8 years, I really don't know much about the car guys around here either but I have a 02 ws6. Lookin forward to running into some of ya'll in the future
