Default Shocked

Just had to post this cause i'm shocked. I'm driving around town and I pull up next to a SVT Lightening F-150 and look over and see 2 older men, like most I enjoy beating any Ford so I try to get a quick race and the 2 guys ignore it so i pull away. Moments i see is a white blur fly past me so I look and I see what I thought to be a newer mustang so I speed up and notice the Shelby Emblem between the tail light and instantly know this would not be a race I would win. I'll race anybody and any car like I believe most people should so we slow down to about a 15 mile and hour roll and I floor it and we take off I knew right away the guy was toying with me cause I kept pace with him, then all I hear is his supercharger kick in and he just blows me out of the water like nothing i've ever seen before. Granted my car is basically stock all i've done was add a Cold Air to it but I can not get over how disgustingly fast that Shelby was... Not looking for insults on this guys I just wanted to post and hear any other stories similar to this !

With a heads and cam you can take one down. I raced one at the track and smoked him. Probably didn't have the greatest driver in the car at the time but it's nothing that impressive.

Forth gens are disgustingly slow from the from factory compared to todays standards. 300 HP LT is nothing now a days. The cobras have 550 hp. Do some mods and get some traction and you'll be keeping up or beating all the new cars (stock).
I lost to a lighting once in my 96 camaro. I couldn't find any traction. The next day I ordered a set of DRs.

SHELBYS have over 500 HP to the crank these days....the last COBRAS were in 2004.

They're supposed to run low 12's high 11's from the factory....very traction limited with the stock wheels. A mostly stock Fbody IS going to feel/look incredibly slow compared to that.
