I have no idea how his 408 is going. Far as I know all the internal parts are still at marshall engines. I think K&K are done with the inspection on his heads tho. Ive been pretty busy with my own projects lately.

Lifter Broke the pin that holds the fulcrum then chewed the **** out of the cam. I suggested he take the heads to K&K and have them inspected and put in a new set of valve springs.
Now time to see how long the MARSHALL's (Blueprint) engine last. I dont think running the piston .020 out of the hole on a set of MAHLE -12cc dish pistons with -4cc valve relief was a wise idea to get higher compression but we will see how it turns out. I spec'd out a pretty decent cam for him on with those PRC 2.5 LS6 heads. (242/246 .612 .614 113+2) It should make some real nice torque and still carry a pretty good peak HP number. I'm just a little worried on the short block build (Mainly budgeting on pistons to get a desired compression and running them that far out of the hole on an Iron block) I suggested the Wiesco -8cc Dish (K464x3) which would be a little stronger and had a better ring land thickness, but seems they were $175 more than the cheaper MAHLE.
But we will see how it turns out.

FWIW the header primary never rotted out. The EGR tab fell off. Its common with capped EGR ports especially if someone has installed the block off plates while the headers where still warm or thought they were leaking and wrenched the hell out of them. It breaks the Tig weld and when the motor warms up and the vibration causes them to fall off.

They US Gov't doesnt find it very entertaining, they send out some guys dressed in uniform with LARGE letters stating "MP" on one arm to find out why you have such a large laser canon on the Railroad tracks! (@ least this is true around Omaha area, so I hear!!)
