Default Exhaust in Minnesota
I'm looking for someone that can do a true dual stainless steel exhaust setup on a 2002 Camaro with Kooks LT Headers and an x-pipe. I've talked with TPIS, who isn't comfortable doing the job. Heartthrob will not do the job due to legality. Hi-Tech Motorsports will do the job, for around $2K. Are there any places that can do mandrel bends on stainless steel for a reasonable price? I'll go with Hi-Tech if need be, but I was hoping for something a little cheaper.

Give me a couple hours and I will see who did my buddies. He went kooks w/ true duals over the axel in his 2002 z28. I don't recall what he paid.

Sounds good. I forgot to add that detail; I want to stay over the axle. I have 3" headers but will drop to 2.5" piping. I've also talked with Doug Rippie Motorsports; their exhaust guys aren't on hand until Monday. Will be calling them again then.

I can't get a hold of him, I think he is in mexico for a week, I will let ya know when I find out. Who ever did it tho did a really nice job

Alright, I'm in no big rush. The intake is currently taken apart, it's gonna be a week or more before she's drivable again.

I got in touch with Tim's and OGG. OGG gave me a general quote of $1800 and a 3 month wait, and Tim's gave me a quote of $1500. I'm gonna be going to see him once I get the car drivable again.

Had another question: powder coating? There's tons of options based on Google. Any of you fine folks have experience with any places? Basic stuff; intake manifold, fuel rails, TB and MAF. Is it worth getting a plastic composite intake manifold coated?

That's one of the reasons I ended up deciding to just buy and install a Y-pipe and catback myself versus getting custom duals made. The other being that I didn't want to drive up to Tim's with open headers.

Nate at OGG welded on my tips, I think your car was there when I got it done. I would definitely recommend OGG based on the work I've seen.

$1800 must be the cost of all the parts in stainless and labor. Or is that building some custom headers?

$1800 in labor is like 32 hrs of work, unless the shop rate went up.

Probably best off just buying some TSP headers and Y pipe with a catback.

Damn near fab a turbo kit for 1800 dollars!!

I already have Kooks LT headers. $1800 is the quote for installation of the headers and fabbing 3" stainless true duals out the back. $1800 at OGG, $1500 at Tim's.

True duals don't sound well IMO on a Fbody.

If you buy a Y-pipe and catback I could do it my garage for way less!
