Default Chicago area machine shop

I am looking for a shop in the Joliet/Chicago area. I am planning on taking my heads off to replace the lifters. So wile they are off I am wanting to get a good valve job done and possibly some milling. Anyone know of a good shop around to take them to?

Try PER Race Engines in Plainfield. They are off of RT59 and 119th behind the Binny's. Great shop.

Thanks for all the reply's after talking to both shops it is just as cheap to pick up some 243's instead. Valve job, surfacing, and cleaning is just about $400. I can find 243's for that. Have them surfaced for $100 and be up some power. Of course I will have to source valve covers too but still not too much more for the upgrade and room to grow in the future.

You can have your heads ported by Texas Speed and get a whole lot more H.P. out of them than just getting a set of 243s. 10-15 h.p. versus 35-40.

Yeah I was looking into that . I was thinking of having AI do them. I am also looking into PRC ls6 heads. Price is about the same for AI high compression 219 port program and PRC stage 1 heads. $5 difference between the two. I keep going back and forth between the two
