MI trans shop Been quite a while since I've been around these parts, and the old girl is in need of a 4L60 trans build/rebuild. Any recommendations on shops in the metro Detroit or north Ohio area? I'm in the Ann Arbor area.. trying to stay away from the big name shops since they in the past typically didn't have the time for small jobs like this.

You could try Haas Trans in Dexter. It's been awhile since I've had anything done there but I used to work with the owner/founder Dennis and he has helped me out several times in the past. I believe he is retired now and his son has taken over? Not sure. I'm getting old and things have all changed so much. I can't keep track.
Back when Dennis was there they did good work. I do know Dennis knows a whole lot about 4L60 transmissions. I worked for the Chevy dealer in Dexter for several years and Dennis rebuilt pretty much all of our transmissions..
I honestly dont know anyone I would trust in A2 or Ypsi.
I been working with a place in Ohio called Gearstar. They're a bit more high performance oriented.

Thanks for the info guys. I honestly forgot I even posted! I'm still looking and will check these out, I agree there's no shops around me I would trust but I do have a couple names of people I need to reach out to also.
