Ack getting a ton of snow in Chicago

Man the side streets of Lincoln Park were really bad. Basically unplowed. I had a bear of a time getting our Acura FWD TL to Fullerton/ Ashland. I sure hope they plow the side streets before tonite.

LOL, yeah. And I guess my wish on 1/6/05 of THAT one being the biggest snow of the season probably won't come true now.

This storm is insane, i think we are going to get like 14-16 inches of snow. You should see how bad the side streets are over there.

It took my 30mins to move it 50ft into the garage.

Ok.... the official unscientific total snow measurement for this storm was 11” in Lincolnwood. I’m actually kinda shocked. I was expecting 12-14”, but the lake effect cut off about 3 hours before I though it would (not that I’m complaining! 
).
It might still have been more though, there were some pretty stiff winds that may have sheered an inch or so off my measurement plane…..gusts topping 40mph at times….
