if you've got diesel experience, inland detroit is desperate, they put together diesel powered generators inside trailors that are driven to customers location, since 9/11 there has been a great demand, and they need road mechanics to travel to customer locations. Currently journeymans pay is $25.47 per hour, with a $4000 sign on bonus payable after 9 months of service, I would be happy to send you over there (located in carol stream).
Or if you can work on forklifts or industrial equipment, you can work ant my company, we are also "road techs" lots of overtime and a good union gig, (grossed $85k last year)
I travel to companies all day long, so if you have mechanical skills getting you a job is no problem
