Custom Plates in Illinois

Custom Plates in Illinois I was wanting to change my license plate so it would read "SOMSS02", with or without the spaces- depending on if there is room. Does anyone in illinois how how many letters and number you can have and if this will work, as long as it isnt taken already (I HOPE NOT!!!!)

For IL:
Vanity Plates (all number or all letters):
Availabilty for passenger car plates:
Numbers - 0 thru 999
Letters - 1,2,3,4,5,6 or 7
Personalized Plates (both letters and numbers):
Availability for passenger car plates:
1,2,3,4 or 5 letters plus 0 thru 99
6 letters plus 0 thru 9
So yeah it looks like SOMSS 02 would work, or SOM SS 02 which ever spacing you prefer. But you'd have to have a space between the letters and numbers. Plus some other requirements are; you can not mix them (like SOM 02 SS would not work), and letters have to come first/before numbers.
There used to be a lot more combos available before they changed the plate design and got more restrictive about the availability.
