Naw, pretty sure it wasn't mad's car. I'd lose him from a roll with this M6...

I do know that it was a heads/cam car.

My Z28 "I" built is still "around" and has gone quicker/faster on a BIG DP. Although I sold it, I built it.

It's not always the shop cars that are the fastest, it's the little guy who knows what he is doing and can turn a wrench. Hat's off to all of you who NEVER had a shop work on your car.

I have great respect for all of these cars that are on this list, but you should give credit where credit is due. Anyone with money can send in a check and pick up a finished car, take it to the track and race it.

Oh, and btw....I already have built the fastest STREET DRIVEN LS1 in Chicago Did I mention I could run 93 octane and drive it anywhere?

But like John said, current cars. I guess I'm out

Yah you dingleberry, if we included every car from the past I'd be putting cars from four years ago on there. Maybe at the end of the year we can make this the 2006 list and then start a 2007 list.

I have only had a shop do what I couldn't. I.E. welding & dynoing. Other than that, my buddy Mike and I are the ones that wrench on it. I work full time and have never had anyone give me a dollar towards it. It can be driven on the street as well, any day of the week. I should be in the high 9s at the start of the season. A H/C with a "sloppy juice shot" (<----Thanks Mike )

I love doing my own work when I get the project done. No matter how much I bitch about it during the process or how many scars, cuts and bruises come out of it. Only things done outside my own garage was welding the SFCs and cut-out. Not that I have a 9 second hauler but it does take money to buy parts and I do what I can with what I can afford.

Certain things not everyone has in their garage. But if you did you would do it yourself.

Nothing but a bunch of blood, sweat, and cursing going on when I'm in my garage

Hell i never touch my car i even take it to jiffy lube for oil changes I do all my engine reassembles all suspenion setup Hell my car didnt even see a dyno last year.Wideband and open roads was my way of tuning. I don't think i did to bad for the year being H/C with 853#casting heads and a sloppy juice shot. I still even have the full leather interior inc the backseat.
