in illinois is there a fine for having no cats besides a ticket? how much?

Un less the cop is a dick you will have no problem. I think it is $75 none moving violation. The only reason i have herd for getting that ticket is if u are doing something real stupid, burn outs, "drifting", Racing, or if u try to hide from a cop.

Is it illegal to have no cats in IL ? - YES !
Will cops ever look for them when they pull you over ? - 99% NO, unless you're a dick to an officer, or when you do street racing/drfiting.....
