drag strip cherry Hi guys , i want to go to dragway 42 this spring and see what my heavy *** truck will run with the pile of cash i threw at it. but any way , how do you go about getting a track run? just go there and sign up? is there a fee? im sure there is,do you get practice runs? thanks for your help , i just want a little fun this year!
Most tracks have "Test and Tune" nights where anyone can race. Just show up, pay around $20 or so depending on the track, fill out a tech card with basic info. (name, car info, etc.). Then go through the tech inspection where they make sure everything looks safe on your vehicle. Then you can start racing, just pull to the staging lanes and wait your turn.

Go to dragway 42 web site. tues and fri are usually test and tune nights. I think it was only 10$ last year. Thats a good place to go the first time. I popped my cherry there

The track guys at IRP are quite helpful to the first-timers....I see them help lots of people stage their vehicles. In fact, I've waited patiently over in the other lane many different times while they're helping someone out.
