Strikes and gutters...
I just got my H/C car up and running. Had a few issues but nothing too rediculous. The setup consists of PP LS6 style stg 2 heads, tsp 231/237, ls6 intake, kooks 1-7/8ths and true duals with bullets. Here are a few of my observations so far
The Good
-This car makes significantly more power than it did (haven't dynoed yet).
-Sound is awesome
-The tune I started with off of horist's site was a nice starting spot. Car runs and drives well
- Did I mention this thing rips!
The bad
-doing a H/C swap on your daily driver is a good way to **** off your girlfriend
-Coolant leak from header bolts on one side only (weird). Patriot says it happens occasionaly
-still getting KR at WOT - damn 11.2 (ish) compression and 92 oct.
The ugly
- Kooks 1-7/8ths inch headers do not like to go in on the driver side. I won't use profanity, lets just say that my neighbor two doors down could probably hear me cursing ......from his basement.... even with ear muffs on. Thanks Mike (Tuff) for the encouragement.
- Only got one good 1-2 shift out of my stock trans before
-Anybody got a TH400 or 350 they want to let go for a good price? I have a brand new Fuddle 4000 stall I could put towards a trade.
