Ohio + Turbo + E-check =? Hey guys,
my friend has a 2000 mustang gt and is putting a turbo on it
will he pass echeck without a cat/muffler or will he have to have those on the car? I believe they just use a sniffer while the car is idling. Its for the cleveland area

no, they use the OBD-II plug in test for 96+ cars and they will look for cats (most of the time).
If his car isn't throwing any codes and passes all the readiness checks, he should be ok.

From: From Ohio now in that state up north
They are gunna hear a car that has no cats or muffler and they will look under it just put racing cats on it and they will pass you for them being there.
