Question for WI members
Question for WI members I just bought a 99 Z-28. I paid 9,500 for it. I am trying to figure out how much it is going to be to license it. I have look at the DMV website and it isn't real clear on the price. I most concerned about the tax. Has anyone bought a car with a similar price as mine?
where county are you in? that will determine sales tax....
So figure 9500 x (5% or 5.1% or 5.6%)
Then add in the $45 title fee
Did you have a loan on the vehicle? Then there is a $4 loan filing fee
Do you have plates to transfer or are you wanting new plates? If you want new, then it's $55
There is also a $5 counter fee if I'm not mistaken to do this(we do all of ours electronically)
So figure at just the 5% number with new plates and a loan on the car...
