Plating a Used IN car

I just bought a car from IL, the guy's bank is sending my bank the title, because we both finance/d.....the BMV will not let me get plates until I have the title, so what do I do for temp's until the title gets to my bank? Can I bring the bill of sale, loan doc's, etc and get a 30 day temp?

Should be able to do that. You have it insured right. Take all your documents along with proof of insurance in with you. Other than that I ain't got a clue.

The Only Way To Get A Paper Tag Is From A Dealer And You Have To Buy The Car There.

This is my new screen name...

I got the 96 hour temp tag that lets me "drive it home from seller".....but I'm gonna use it until my title comes in....big risk?

i think you have 30 days from day of purchase to get plates so just drive with your bill of sale with the date of purchase on it & you should be fine,but it wont stop every cop that sees you driving without plates on the car from pulling you over!!!!!!!
