Chicago Indoor Racing
Hey guys, I am just gauging interest in getting a group of us together and going to Chicago Indoor Racing go kart track. I have heard that they are wicked fast. You have to wear a fire suit and hans device and you have to be 18 years old. I think it would be a blast to see who is the best on the short track. They have a bar and grill and lots of cool ****. Just thought I would throw it out there.

Just make sure you make a reservation. First timers its going to be EXPENSIVE. But since whoever posted this is trying to get a group he will race free. So you all know. I am down, and I think I have a few coupons too.
A better idea is to set up a private race on the BIG TRACK.... Cause then First is First and not, the best laptime is the winner... Which is how they guage the short tracks. Found that out and I was PISSED.
Oh yeah and the bar is cool, but if you drink they cut off your wristband and NO RACING!!! WTF?

I usually preflight at the house. Cause last few times there have been UCs in the parking lot. Or a little flask. Kinda sucks if you ask me. I did some Gokarting in Germany man, and they were trying to GIVE you beer before you raced, no suits, but you wore a helmet. I think it was more fun. These carts are quickm but 45 is pushing it. Maybe 35ish. Still hella fast when your 1/2" from the floor tho...

The carts do 35 or so, and like someone else said, drinking is strictly prohibited. They have a breathalyzer they use if they think you're drunk. "8 hours bottle to throttle" is the policy.

Another good idea that I had to make it even more interesting would be to pose a challenge to one of the mustang or SVT forums and have a competition to see who rules the go kart track. If I can get a ballpark number of people that want to go, I will call and set something up with CIR. That way we can rent the track out and have it all to ourselves.

I didn't mean older than us specifically, just older in general. I see more 30 somethings than 20 somethings at Mustang meets, and the opposite with LS1 cars in this area.
