As for the tranny and rearend problems, you'll be fine. I dont think ANYBODY beats the hell out of their cars like I do. ( Thats what I build them for! And thats why it's a Built bottom end and not a stock bottom end)
Wanna trade for a stock LS1 with 120k? haha

AGREED!!! But I was still Amazed at how good your car ran. And as I said before, From a DIG I would've been drug down 465.

My car is setup for street and highway driving, since thats where I spend most of my time. Yours was set up more for 1/4 mile. Of course with it being a 6 speed, it helped maintain some streetability and SOME highway manners.

*Not trying to knock your car... Just stirring the pot a little. lol

Those last 2 races were the closest races I've had in my car since it's been together. Just so you know.

And I've been beat a few times, but those 2 races were just toooooo close.

There is no knocking. My car wasn't setup to be a highway race car. It was setup to **** and get. How many 6sp cars in indy were knocking 1.5000 60' or better. I wished I could have held the car for the rest of this season only to put some skinnies upfront and then launch the car on the bottle off the limiter. That would have been a low 10 second pass. If I was laying on the brakes at the 1000' mark and cross the beams going sideways going 10.97 at 127 that was going for a mid 10s.

10.97 @ 127mph with a 1.5 60' Is Hauling @$$ in a 346 cid - 6 Speed car. *Let alone going thru the traps on the brakes and sideways. Is that the race where you wrecked out? Or not??
-I know you said someone's car carried water down the track and it got loose on the big end.

I don't know of many Auto cars cutting 1.5 60's, let alone any 6 speed guys.

Man next year is gonna be FUN!

I need to hit the LOTTO!!!

The best way to start trying to go as fast as that T/A is to call up cartek and order the 4X head/cam package. They make awesome power on 346ci motors. Then start getting weight out of the car. That T/A is around 3350lbs race weight. Makes 507rwhp and runs a faceplated T56 with a Cartek clutch. I wish I could get my car down close to that ET NA.

I did 10.7x at 127 with that 1.500 60' the previous pass launching at 5000 rpms. The next pass, one I wrecked the car was launching at 6000 prms on the bottle and it was 1.4x 60'. I slammed each gear and it actually chirped the slicks going into 4th gear. All of a sudden the rear end came out from the car after the tires broke loose. I did all I could to keep it off the wall but it wasn't enough. The temps that day were in the 80s and humid as hell in south west Missouri. The new owner of my car minus the shell is loving it each time he drives it.

well went to Bowling green today & made some 1/4 mile shots. Air was about 500 ft DA. Best pass I made was 11.55 @ 118.12 & only had a 1.65 60 ft. Should have at least been a 1.61 so looks like I can go 11.40 when I go back.

Hey All,

Thanks for having some nice weather while I am up here this week. Had a good weekend with the family and went to the Blue Crew to watch the Colts today. Great place.

If anyone wants to get together one night this week, just feel free to call me. cell number is the same as the shop, 407-616-2518. I am thinking either Monday night to catch some football or Weds night since most will have Thursday off. I would prefer the Northeast side, but I can do about anywhere.

Look forward to it

I work Sun-Wed's early afternoon to near midnight.

On the chirping the slicks into 4th......... rear gear and tire height off? I know the 6 speed cars around that time can cross the traps nearing the 6XXX in third..... there was one guy that got the time he wanted by doing this... the 3-4 shift was killing him. Im sure there was some water on the track to chirp slicks going into 4th in a high 10 sec car..... Goodman wrecked his car with a dangerously slick track after someone dumped some fluids that ORP did not get all the way cleaned up.... Thankfully I learned in a 13 sec car to go home when someone dumps fluid....... unless it is a national race or something at least ORP does no to that great of a job most of the time...... not worth me sending a car to the junk yard. That night there were manual cars getting loose on the big end also due to some anti-freeze at a lot of people shift point. Im not making fun of him or his car or anything like that.... it happens sometimes........ live and learn. A few people know how luck I was not not roll my 96 one night......... live and learn.

James, I think my last car would have pulled a 1.5 the way it sat when I had it.... it was pulling a 1.6 spinning a little with the last owner on less suspension and crapier tires......... You would see a lot better 60's around here but we both know not many have the tire and suspension to do it..... but have the power .Im sure Goodman is pulling about a 1.5 on a bad day
