That isnt to bad - we have a silver one here right now that I just put a stroked LS1 into. I've got a few things to finish up before the trans goes in and the car gets started, but its coming along nicely. The nice thing is the motor drops right into the stock motor mounts and trans mounts - the trans mounts cant keep the weight of the T56 in place I dont think though...

From what I've seen clean roller FD's are going for 10-12k. So 2MCHPWR's car is a great deal when you start to add up conversion parts, motor, labor ect. My brother is starting on an FC swap, just looking for an L33 or any 5.3 for that matter.

thanks guys.
I didn't mention that the motor is brand new built from cartek. Most swaps use junkyard sourced motors.
The FD is a great chassis and I still have one that I will keep for some time (blue one link in sig). Its a great combination of drop dead looks, light weight, 50/50 weight distribution (actually my blue FD has a REARWARD weight bias which is pretty damn cool for a front engine car) and the awesome power and reliability of the LS1.
