Photo's is over unless we actually plan a meet and people know to show up. Nobody ever really just "shows up" there any more. Our group does still plan meets there when the weather is nice, but we get maybe 10 cars at most.

Train station is cool, plenty of cars there. But that one ends early, it's like 6-9pm.

The "after train station" show is cool, people head over to the McD's at Golf & 83. We've gotten some good shows together over there, sometimes 30+ cars. Usually like 9pm to midnight.

The biggest shows north of chicago right now are at the Meijer off Golf Rd, and the Gurnee Mills McD's on rt132/Grand Ave, both are on Friday though. Gurnee is a long drive from our area, unless I go there from work....then I'm only 3 mins away.

Oh....there is also the show at Woodfire on Saturday's. It's in the western burbs somewhere off rt53 maybe? I've never been there, but heard it's pretty good.

Having lived on the north side, SS > NS. No doubt. (Except when it comes to bars and women. OK, maybe the NS is better to visit.)

I was just dropping off some used junk computers at a recycle center up there. Looked pretty ghetto where I was , but further East on Belmont it appeared to have some rebuilt homes and condo's that are probably going for 600k+ , ha.

I wouldn't call Belmont/Kedzie ghetto, but it's not a fancy area of the North Side for sure. Ghetto would be the far West Side.

How's the Strats on North Ave? I was on my way to West Chicago a couple weeks back, and passed by there. I've heard they have shows there too.

Yea, Matt is correct. That's a bunch of kids and bs. We need to set up a meet for early spring in our area. We'll drag John out of "city" and get together.

No more Woodfire.. I heard the city of itasca shut it down because there are some luxury condos or some **** going in next door. that show moved farther west to a hot dog place in Hanover park/Schaumburg area. On Irving park road Near where Wise road ends. Pretty cool to check out once in a while because the rat rod guys are always there doing flame thrower exhaust shows.

I used to live by Belmont and Kedzie, more like Diversey and Troy. I also went to school at Gordon Tech on California and Addison. Sux to drive around there. Stop light after stop lights after stop signs.

John, quit being so "narrow minded" and get on the road and travel some! Rt 53 is not that far, and can be made into a nice cruise on your way to Meier where we have around 400 cars every Fri night!
If we don't show up to Photo's then there will be no Photo's. So come out and cruise from Photo's to the train station to McDs. It makes for a nice night.
And look at it this way, you can always throw some change at people on your way up here...oops did I say that out loud?
I am definitely down for a meet Downtown though, once the weather comes around. Look at my sig pic!
Is it Summer yet???

I don't think we've ever actually made a Photo's - train station - McD's circuit in one night. It's usually Photo's - McD's, then home because it's 2am.

I've adjusted my schedule some, trying to work earlier hours on Fridays so I can start hitting Meijer on the nice days.
