Default BBC for sale in Indy

If anyone in Indy is looking for an aluminum headed BBC I am selling mine (tired of being slow and going with a LS motor ).

468 BBC

GMPP C port heads with at least moderatly ported intake runners, come complete.

Forged TRW domed pistons with what looks like factory rods and crank (this motor has seen a 300 shot more then a few times and lived just fine, lots of smaller shot runs), double roller timing chain with no extra slack in it. Comes with a deep oil pan.

Carb is a BG 850 that flows 1,040 CFM.

MSD mechanical advance distributor with brand new moroso wires.

Could sell my MSD box and MSD spark retard box with it.

Also comes with pushrods and flat tappet lifters.

Cam is bad but I can give you the specs of the cam that was in it.

All motor the car went 11.1 with this and 10.4@136 with a 150 shot or so spinning. Swap in a little better cam and with a hooking car 9's would be easy not less then a 200 shot, not to mention if you ported the exhaust side of the heads. This is also a 10.5.1 compression motor.

The bad, one pushrod and one intake valve should be replaced due to a rocker that had the polly lock break so the rocker did some SMALL damage to the tip of the valve, lifter came out, pushrod rode on the cam for a bit and chewed it up, looks like the bottom end is fine but some of the cylinders have one score line each, nothing major, a hone job may even fix it. Motor does not smoke or burn anything from what I can tell.

James can vouche for the condition of everything. Going to have the short block out soon and torn down so anyone interested can inspect everything.
May be keeping the intake for the new motor and maybe rockers.

Can also sell the headers and maybe full exhaust. Bolts right up in a third gen with a BBC.

Have quite a few pictures so far for anyone interested.

I would tear this apart, inspect it, and put it back together but I am going with something else for next year

Your going to go from a big block engine to a LSX engine? That's a huge step up.. are you even ready for that?

LOL the LSX thing was a joke hahaha. I am building another big block.

It will run good, this one did not like runing on 7 cylinders..... not to mention all the worn out out of date stuff.

Its only a nice day warm weather car..... don't drive it a lot.

All but 1 aluminum Earson 1.7 rockers up for sale now also.

One of them went bad when the polly lock split in two.

Might be selling my TH-400 also..........
