A lid is one of the first mods everyone does its not like you will feel the gain but I would pick one up if I were you. Look around for one for sale locally im sure someone has one

buy a lid...

lids are worth 10rwhp + or - a few pending engine and other mods!

They work because the stock air backs is constructing with ribs/baffles on the inside that cause turbulence and restriction in the air flow. the worse part of the design is the giant silencer box that is attached to the stock lid. It hurts airflow/pressure and makes its a pain to get to anything under the hood!

Engines are internal combustion vacuum pumps, the more air in and the more air out, the more hp.

As long as you are a competent person, it should only take a 5-10 min.

Provided that the lid comes off the MAF easily! I had a hard time with the IAT sensor too.

I am a little concerned about the IAT sensor since the company I'm looking to buy from said they would have to drill the whole in the lid before they ship it to me.

Buy the Fast Toys 85mm lid. It is the best one out now.

+1 for that. Wish I would have known this one was coming out.

If you know your *** from a hole in the ground, you can get one on pretty quick.

Ha true! I never had a problem with removal, just putting the new SLP lid on. The old SLP mold would slide on fairly easily onto the MAF and when I had to pick up a new one which was their new mold I guess, it was a pain in the *** to get on... So I am going to recant my statement. I'm sure he won't have any problems though

Use spit as lube. That is what I do when I put it in the old lady's dumper.
