I've been in enlisted for over eight years and just got commissioned last month. I just received my first les with the new grade but all is says is O01. My question is should my les show O01E or will it just say O01 and pay me as an O1E. I'm in the guard now (I know I have more than enough points for O1E due to my prior active time so that's not the issue here) so I can't tell by just comparing it to the pay scales since it's not covering a full time pay period. I've searched all over the internet with no luck and I've asked my finance people, we all know how "helpful" they are, and I still can't get a definitive answer. What did you prior O1E guy's les' say? Thanks.

I'm not prior-e but I'll ask my guard my buddy when I see him next. He has a night flight tomorrow and I don't feel like ruining his crew rest so it might be a couple days.

 

Just compare your base pay to the pay scale. Should be pretty obvious, seeing as O1-Es make a ton more, and time in service pay scale goes much farther
