Default NFCU financing on older model years?

Has anyone ever financed an older car through Navy Federal Credit Union?

Thinking about getting another GTO.

I tried to finance a 02 Silverado back in 2014 through NFCU and they gave me that it's so old it would be a higher interest rate than a newer vehicle. Like 12% or something. My credit score is pretty good and my mortgage was with them.

I financed my 68 C10 through USAA. They had a reasonable rate, been a while though.

JJ Best Banc sucks.

Shop around. NFCU isn't as good as it used to be IMO.

I financed a 16 year old vehicle through NFCU a couple of years ago, no issues and a low rate. Also financed an 05 CTS-V through them in 2014 with no issues.

I have a real love/hate with them, they came extremely close to causing me to lose a home I was buying last year due to mistakes on their end ..but last month I called at like 11 pm and requested a large amount for a new shop I'm building, I believe the phone call lasted 17 minutes and they had the loan approved and the money already in my account before the call was over.

Never had an issue with USAA, I do most stuff through them, just dislike not having a physical location I can walk into.
