Default Anybody with a Nikon P80 camera?

I just picked up the Nikon P80 camera, to start tinkering around with photography a little bit. I want to know what camera modes you use most to get the best shots of your cars, and if you have any filters or extra lenses with it.

I'm pretty sure you mean a D80 right? Go get a 50mm f1.8 and have at it. Best advice I can give you is to take a few classes at a local community college.

No man, the P80. It's not an SLR camera, it's one of those newer superzoom point-and-shoot cameras. It's really nice for $300, especially the wide-angle and 18x zoom lenses. I bought it yesterday, and messed around with it at work today. You can manually adjust the focus, shutter speed (1/2000 second - 8 seconds) and aperture (f/2.8-f/8.0), so it should make for some decent pics for a novice. I couldn't justify spending $600+ on a D60 or better.

So it's a p+s that you can get xtra lenses for? How does that work? Sorry I'm not up on point and shoots. Can't get over the delay in shutter actuation. So frustrating to use for me.

Well the front lens housing is 52mm, so I can put any filters or lenses there that fit. I just picked up a telephoto and extra wide-angle lens for it, and have a fish-eye lens on order. I'll take some pics and post them up so that you can see how good these pictures look coming from a non-DSLR camera.
