Mac guys have problems with WMV files?

Mac guys have problems with WMV files? Any of you other mac users have problems viewing WMV format videos?
I download them and I can hear the sound but it just shows black screen.. some of them work and some dont. Usually the ones I want to see the most don't work.
Any way to correct this? I love my mac but **** ..

Re: Mac guys have problems with WMV files? Yep I have the wmv for OS X for my mac.It works good, but some of the newer wmv videos are made with an upgraded version of wmv and our mac wmv viewer doesn't have the right codecs for those upgraded vid's... or so my windows buddy tells me.

Re: Mac guys have problems with WMV files? I've had that problem a few times, but its a hell of alot better than the problems you windows guys have "OH NO MY COMPUTER JUST BLUE SCREENED/CRASHED FOR NO REASON AND I LOST MY THESIS PAPER!!!"

Theres almost no software for Macs so theres nothing to crash.

But its all in what you like -- kinda like we're either ford guys or chevy guys.. I love my mac .. this is the only problem I've ever had with it. I can't say that for my old PC.
