don't get butt hurt it's just a movie car?
I'd drive it just because of the funny looks and reactions I'd get. toss in my obama mask from Halloween and I'd be set for an evening of fun.
The only ford I'd ever own...? hardly.... But I'm not too caught up on my self to drive the hell outta' that thing.

I'll stand alone and admit it's kinda cool. In fact, I think it's actually pretty cool.

I would rather have a Terminator with a salvage title and a rod hanging out the side.

I think everyone would have probably said they liked it if he would have nailed the throttle. LOL It is gaudy(sp) but think of when the movie was made, who and where the director was born. That would explain quite a bit! IMHO anyway.

Mad Max is a "classic" to me. But honestly I wouldn't speak THAT highly of the car.

Default C'mon, folks!

All this 'Ford sux/Chevy sux' crap is rather juvenile, don'tcha think?

Ford has built some desireable cars, to be certain. But I always figured the Holden Interceptor from Mad Max had more in common with an AMC Javelin than anything Ford had out at the time. And yes, I know that Holden was in bed with Ford at the time. So were a bunch of other companies.

At the top of my list of 'like-to-have' cars with Blue oval connections would be a Pantera, Ace Cobra, 2-seater Thunderbird, etc. My wife owns a '65 Mustang Convertible, all original and in the family since new. It's a fun little cruiser.

But I am a Pontiac man through and through and that is where I choose to focus my energies. Doesn't mean there aren't any models from outside that marque that I admire, however.

You also have to consider that they made the first Mad Max movie with like 5000 dollars (US$)

I think its a pretty good movie considering hollywood can only make crap movies for millions

I dunno, I always loved the Mad Max car, that car and KITT were always my favorite film cars
