This race was the Corvette's last United States appearance in the GT1 class in the American Le Mans Series since they run uncontested. At one point in the race, one of the drivers of the #3, Johnny O'Connell, turned off the traction control system and got sideways a little bit in one of the hairpin turns. He later revealed in an interview that "he was bored." 
Team Corvette will appear next year in the brand new GT2 car with less horsepower, less downforce, and more weight. So, I was pretty focused on getting as many pictures of them as I could of these GT1 cars. Here are the results. The following photos are unedited for the most part other than a little contrast and some sharpening.

You and me both.
Shutter speeds during the day were 1/200 and anywhere from 1/25 - 1/10 at night. Camera is a Canon Rebel XS. Lens is a Sigma 28 - 105mm, 3.8-5.6/f, manually focused.
