Pic of the Week (10/23)
Notice the reflections of the sky through the trees
on the hood and windshield. Is that the heavens
smiling down on a beautiful car?

Thanks!!
What a co-inky-dink!!
Regarding that particular pic.. According to the author's description in a recent email..THAT is the one that is on
page 176 in Marc Cranswick's latest automotive book
Pontiac Firebird: The Auto-Biography
(I sent him a bunch of pics when he solicited some shots from my website last year)...
I was more than happy to send him some nice Formula pics for possible inclusion in the book.
Matter 'o fact..I just ordered the book today!!
Here is a recent review of the book
FWIW...
That particular 02 Formula (1 of 901 total for the year) is destined to stay..dare I say it?...STOCK!
Currently she has only 3400 miles and is only used for events and shows. Yup..this may just end up being a trailer queen.
(I had to drive it for a few weeks this summer while the 98 Formula was having some work)...
I bought it with the full expectations of garaging it and forgetting about it.
Why? Cuz they dont make em anymore! Grrrr...
I actually started saving for it when GM announced they were killing the F-bodies.
She was custom ordered from the factory.
3.23's No traction control among some other additions/deletions...
(I just went down the list and picked out every minor option)
I just wanna point to the car 10 years from now and have it looking the same as it does today with less than 10K on the ODO...
The Black 98 Formula is 'the toy'..
Ignore the sig.. it hasnt been updated...
She just ran 12.21 @ 111 a few weeks ago..
(On 2.73 gears!! Bwhwahahahahahaaa!!!)
She's still lookin' good having only cracked 40K miles last month..
Dont get me wrong!
I love the WS6 TA's!
But I have an affinity for Formula's..
Lighter..tighter..Built to run.
Sleeker..a lil bit lighter cuz It doesnt have to carry the extra body parts a TA has..
PLUS.. Mustang guys think its a V6 when they see it..
