My 02 T/A build up Well here is the story, i put a rod through the block on my 22k mile car back on December 7th at the same time it backfired and caught the airfilter on fire and almost burnt the car down. Its taken me a little while to come up with the money to do what i had planned, but it finally came together, i still have a few odds and ends to finish up, but they are minor.
I orderd a forged shortblock from SDPC and put in a MS3, ported heads, 3600 Edge stall converter, 42 lb injectors, and 150 shot going back in.

Short block was about 2900 shipped.
No tune was on the car, i had a 125 shot on it. I ran the car all year without problems, i personaly dont think nitrous was the direct cause of the failure.

i think its from the pcv system that lets oil build up and just lay in the intake, and under heavy acceleration it goes to the back of the intake and some of the oil goes through the runners and then the piston compresses oil and its done for. Just my guess, at least thats what i think caused my failure.
