Default Help with dvd copy

Well i have a dvd of a few races and would like to save it to my computer so i can put it on youtube or something, how do i do that?

I can put it in the computer and play the dvd in windows media player, but it will not let me rip it like an audio cd. Is there an easy way to do this?

I'm decent with computers, just not that into them to know all the features yet.

Did you put the disc in the burn drive? I know some computers have 2 different ports for cd/dvd.

Ok, put the disc in and click out of what pops up to run it with another program. Go to start>computer>click on cddrive. the videos should pop up seperately, then drag them from the cd to a file on your computer, this worked for me.

Ok i think we are getting close, i can go to cd drive, click and drag to another folder, drop it, BUT it turns into a shortcut, not an actual file.

Hmm.. Cause I just tried it with mines and it takes the video off the disc and puts it into my computer. Try dragging it and copy and paste, take the dvd out and see what happens.
