Please recommend video capture/dvd edit/author package.

Please recommend video capture/dvd edit/author package. Don't know if this post belongs in 'Lounge or here, but I'm sure the mods will adjust accordingly!
I want to pick up a firewire card and video editing/dvd authoring package and was curious if you all could give your thoughts and recommendations. I have a Sony MiniDV camcorder with firewire output (iLInk). I'm gonna pick up a DVD burner and would like to take my DV footage of my wedding/honeymoon and edit into a pro-style dvd (at least this is how I'm gonna package this deal to my wife). My camera can be used as an analog/digital converter, so I don't need that feature. What are you all using...Thanks!

The camcorder should of came with some editing software. What kind of computer do you have? If you have a mac imovie and idvd does a good job. As for a windows set up I would email 98snakeeater(rick) here on the board. He makes some awesome videos.

If you want something very pro, go with Adobe Premiere...I use it all the time, and it is *very* versatile. Has its own capture utility as well. Overall, Adobe makes high end products. Could be pricey and a little hard to learn...but worth it.
