They're called sequential turn signals, there's a write up floating around here somewhere. Use the search and you can find it.

Here's a better video demonstrating them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nIfsNeB2oE0

they're called chasers. they were originally made for Mustangs, but with a bit of wiring magic you can put them on anything.

I believe the first cars to use these were actually Mercury Cougars. Somewhere around the 67-68 year.

IIRC, it is illegal (not to say that is a bad thing) to install these on your cars. I think the law states that the only cars to allow taillights like these are the ones where it came factory installed.

I remember my first day of college in the field of Electrical Engineering. The teacher had a microprocesser programmed to show several setups of mock taillights. The first had the typical inner to outer like the Cougar as well as some others like shown in the vid. Pretty simple to do with programming and a microprocessor.

no thats my buddy. i think his tires were really bad. his back end always slides out. watch the stop sign burnout. he does the same thing. just like the mustang with the billet grille. they drive exactly the same lol

Yes, you would want to get the 93-96 taillights though.
