I don't get the point of showing pre shoot photos...

But thats a decent location I would just wish the ground was flatter.

i guess you could say the point was to find a good spot for when I get off my lazy rear and wash my car

didn't wanna drive all around looking for a spot, possibly driving in dirt/dusty areas, after I had just detailed the car...

this way I know right where to go when it's clean, and it gave me some good ideas of what angles to take the pictures. Time-of-day, etc...

Ok let me explain. I do the samething, shooting pre shoot locations and time of day test shots but I don't post them. Why post them? Why not wait till you have finished shots? Thats all.

guess I never thought there were rules, and it never bothered me that much... I'm also just recently got a new camera, so I'm a little trigger happy right now when doing photography. All CC is welcomed

I can relate to the trigger happy thing, when I got my 20D I shot pretty much anything and everything! I like the location since it gives a lot of different perspective options. And as far as posting test shots, why not, maybe someone will chime in with some tips or something that helps nail that perfect pic.
A+ on the ride too, I've always admired it.

thanks man, you hit my feelings about photography right on the dot!

right now, i'm itching to get some new lenses for the camera and a nice tripod. Gotta have the money first. Going in for my 2nd interview on Monday for a job i'm really hoping to get. We'll see what happens

No prob, that's what it's all about. I'm still learning with my camera and have had it for five years! I only have a couple lenses but luckily a friend of mine is pretty big into photography and uses Canon cameras. As for tripods don't cheap out, but unless you're going to be abusing it on a regular basis you don't have to get a super expensive one either.
