Default How Do You Video and Put it On Here

Ok, I'm lame when it comes to this, but I want to shoot some video or record some sound clips to put on this website. What all do I need? Please cover everything from the type of vid camera to how to upload it in my PC, etc. I also want to include sound clips only.

My wife asked me what I wanted for Christmas (I said 12 Bolt-no luck) so I wanted some equipment. I just heads/cammed my LS1, so I wanted to get video of my runs (not diarrhea) and sound clips with the cam.

Thanks!

There are several ways to go about it.

You can get a digital camera that has audio/video capabilities. There will be a USB cable that runs from your PC to your camera. You download them to your PC. Then you have to upload the vid or sound clip to a host website. You can then link it here...

Thanks, unit213, I may be doing this soon! And I won't want to race you until I get blown or juiced!

Why not? It's all in fun right?

Like I said, there are alternatives to what I posted earlier. Keep in mind that digital cameras have limited audio/video capabilities usually due to lack of memory (storage space). You're best bet would be a digital video camera. You can get one for about $300 I believe...maybe $400.

I have an analog video camera. I have to use what's called a "video bus" that will translate the analog into a digital signal. The video bus thingy is about $60-$75.

That's the route I will take. I have a work digital camera, but it's rinky dink. I'll *hint* to the wife my about my Santa present.

And racing is only fun when you win! Note to self: Race unit213 only after 100 Wet Shot goes in....

Thanks again bro!
