Default photoshop request

Can either of you guys offer any photoshop help? I have Photoshop 7.0 and ImageReady 7.0. I'm pretty damned good with computers, but I can't seem to do much of anthing with Photoshop. Any pointers?

Also, I have a photoshop request if one of you guys has a spare moment.

Here's the pic I want to chop. I'd like to lower the car a bit and cut the antaenna down to roof level. Also paint the antaenna black.

Thanks in advance!

BTW, I have a higher resolution pic if necessary.

Sorry, I just can't help myself! I'm stealing everyone's PS work. I'm bored and I wanna get my money's worth out of PS too lol. Besides, I don't have a F body to work on. Hell I've been reduced to working on a 'stang in virtual reality!

As for pointers, google for some forums on it. I don't know any offhand but you should be able to find some. Shouldn't be too hard to find some with tutorials. Other than that just experiement once you get the basics on how it works.

Cool! Thanks Kyuss. Any tips on getting started with PS?

BTW, the car doesn't look all the great lowered on the stock 17" wheels. Time for some nice 18's.

Thanks again.

Ditto to what Kyuss said. Just do a search on google and just type in "photoshop tutorials".

What I did is usually the places the have tutorials have a before and after picture. So I would start with the before picture, follow their instructions and see how well I did compared to their after picture.

Then once I started getting the hang of things, I went to my mom's work and got hooked up with a photoshop class. She is the VP of a company that trains people on photoshop, premier, flash, etc. So I got in for free and can go back any time to refine my skills. So that is how my skills got better so quick.

But if you have any questions, just PM me and I would be willing to help. Or you can IM me at Datykester

Sounds like my advice? Hehehe.

Yeah, there are several car photochop sites around that I used to
frequent to bone up my skills. Most have a tutorial section that has
some decent stuff. I had to leave those places cuz it's just a bunch
of kids who like rice and nothing else

Some of the names I can remember were:
photoshopchop.com
photochop.com
photoshopjunkie.com

I don't know if any of these are still around, but you
can check them out. Anything I can do to help, I'll
try.

Cool...thanks guys. I'll play around with it when I have some spare time. I need to get some quality pics of the ride. I want to make a new sig. I'll also be putting together a video of my car soon.
