Question for photoshop MODs

Question for photoshop MODs I wanted to know what you guys do to extract objects out of your images? Do you use "Masks" or what? I just wanted to know, becuase I am trying to figure out the best way to go....

I am not a MOD but...........
I usually use the extract tool in your filters section. You also want to use the smallest bruch possible. There is an online tutorial at www.photoshopcafe.com, that is where i learned from!

I usually use the lasso tool and just outline (say I am using a car) the car really quick. Then i switch to quick mask mode and go in with a small brush and fine tune it to get the best possible selection.
