Default Hondas + Oil burning

Some pictures from work (Honda dealer). Alot of new Accord 4bangers are eating oil like CRAZY. Like 2+L under 1000km. Some pictures of a tear downs at work. Ends up being the oil control rings seize on them and all the teflon coating wear off the piston skirts scores everything up.

Honda makes us tear it completly down, even though they know they will approve a shortblock, big waste of time. Anyways, heres some pics :

In with the Vtec solenoid, but due to excess oil burning, they were consumed by oil fumes, and perished. Honda warrantys them 3yr/60,000km though, so new ones went in!

Good grief, reminds me of that Acura I saw the other day they spewed blue smoke all over me while sitting in traffic. I was enjoying the weather with the windows down until he came along. Couldn't even turn the AC on without smelling it.
