Default G8 overload!!!

I've never really posted here so I I'm just gonna dump what I have done over the last two years since I have owned my G8 GT. Cheers!

I'm on "vacation" for the next 10 days because I have too much time off on the books. I was forced to take the time, I have nothing to do and yard work is out of the question as the weather sucks. So out of boredom I went around the neighborhood and shot some pics and made a couple passes for the camera.

Passes were a little more than 3/4 throttle as the ground is a little wet in spots. Plus I can't get the damn thing to go in a straight line on dry ground let alone through puddles...

Ever since I installed my ported intake manifold my exhaust note has changed quite a bit. It is like it took the edge off a little bit and replaced it with a swooshing jet of air sound. I'm getting used to it though. Since that mod the car pulls impossibly hard now. Weather permitting I'll see what times I can get at the Track on Wed or Sat.

I love this kind of weather...

Lastly it was kind of strange that as I took photos I was asked on three separate occasions by people driving by if I was selling my car? One was an SUV with 5 muslim women. They asked me if I would be interested in selling the car. I said oh no not this car. They spoke something to each other in what I assumed was arabic, then turned around and drove off in the direction they came. Weird...

Nothing like having 15mins (squeezed into 3min of video) of driving time on a beautiful unpopulated twisty road...

I went for a cruise through the woods around Mount Tam and had my cousin take a little sound check vid with his cell phone. In the first half of the vid I get a little loose after making that turn. It is nice to be able to push the car through turns with the new suspension setup as opposed to understeer I used to have with stock. The BMR sway bars really are amazing. Also is nice to have a smooth ride with the H&R springs.

After hording all my parts for a while, I finally got a chance to get all my goodies installed. My NorCal Goat friends hosted a mod to help me get everything installed. Took us a good 6 hours to do all the work but the fruits of our labor really paid off.

Parts:

H&R springs
BMR swaybars
BMR adjustable endlinks
BMR subframe connectors and tunnel brace
Kollar Racing Poly Strut mount with bearings
GXP Shocks and Struts

The is ride isfirmer, but still very very comfortable. Road noise is very minimal. The car takes turns unbelievably well now and stays pretty flat. Before It felt like the car would roll over even on soft sweeping turns on the freeway, and the understeer when driving aggressively sucked. It felt like you were being pulled through a turn. Now the car Pushes you through the turns with slight oversteer. It is awesome how composed and flat the car stays.

In the first pic you can see my cats and sub frame connectors slightly below the chassis of the car. Also I'm still able to pull up over that parking block but just barely. Got to get used to not doing that in more.

I love the way the car sits now. The overly raked look is gone, and the car sits nice and level. No more front end dive when I stab the brakes either.

I still don't know what I'm doing with this camera so practice is needed. I'm learning slowly but surely. Photography is hard

Love the white on the G8's. It makes them look so clean and nice.

My sister has a white G8 v6. I wish it was a GT so bad.

I'm from the Bay Area. When I can't get to infineon on a Weds, I go to Sac instead.

I love the white. Very very clean car and nice pics. I just started getting into G8s and I think they're pretty sick.

Yeah I painted the roof black. Also the hood scoops and chrome grill surrounds in the front.

How much of a drop did the H&R springs give you? Does it take the stock ride away? Mentioned it still felt good but is it close to stock. Been considering buying these for a while now.

Very clean G8 by the way. I have seen it on a couple other G8 forums.
