Recent Fauxhawk engine bay pics...
Haven't taken many pics of the engine bay since the forged rebuild & subsequent trans replacement on the car, soooo...
Some recent DIRTY engine bay pics (haven't detailed it since before the rebuild):
Need to strip the multi-layered paint off of the strut tower brace one of these days using aircraft remover, and then repaint it with Pewter. Will also re-do the "DIY catch cans" at the same time by disassembling and stripping with aircraft remover and then coating with Engine Enamel Black.
You can also see the ABS strips that I affixed to the fuel rail covers to hide the Corvette logos.
Have been thinking about making more of my engine bay components have a black coating to contrast the pewter body color. Black TB, black MAF, black caps, black brake reservoir, black Optima battery, black throttle cable guide, black clamps, etc.
Will be replacing some bolts/washers with flat-top allen screws and finishing washers in the next few weeks. Thinking about getting the finishing washers black anodized first though.
Oh yeah, and I almost forgot... The wire mod/AIR+alarm+hood release cable tuck.

GM dealership installed alarm siren & some electrical grounds. I was just thinking about how I can delete/relocate that this morning. Going to put some +12v to the siren to see what happens. If it emits a siren and doesn't explode, I'll route that circuit to join the horn circuit to try out what that sounds like.

I'm replying anyways just to brag about it. $125 shipped, with non-WS6 (Camaro) lower airbox, airbox tray, stock bellows, and MAF included. They didn't know what they had or what it was really worth. I sold the lower airbox for $40, so essentially I got a Blackwing lid and a 35k mile 2002 MAF for $85.
