Default cam lamp

hey everyone just wanted to post up a pic of my bordom on my day off yesterday

took my old cam that was just sitting around and some random parts I had laying around and built a working label lamp, the shade will be chance out to a somthing alittle more gear head like but that is what i had around

seems like a good use of an old worn out stock cam to me.

Yea man, go to lowes and get a cheap shade for it, it'll look better.

Already looks great, seems more practical than the engine block coffee table I've seen on the net too.

I do agree, I was just board and found something to do for an couple of hours. Now what to make next.....? any ideas?

That was my first thought but uh.. wouldn't he need some kind of hardened trill or something to make a hole like that?

This seems like a cool idea really.. I might give it a shot if I ever find myself with a cam sitting around. has that industrial look to it.

I did not run the wire though the cam just b.c it did not have a hole in it like how the lsx cams do ( oil gally ) its from my 350 sbc.
