The only way I can see an LS1 putting down 525 horses with no power adder and stock cubes is with an excellent pair of heads and that new Thunder cam, the 242/248 110 one, I think they call it the t-rex. And eveyr bolt-on in the book. I think it's possible, but I don';t think that was a 525 rwhp car.

Did some more research....
The SS mods are as:Lingenfelter heads, cam, full exhaust, 12 bolt rear as well as some others I am sure. 440rwhp are the true numbers.

This guy pisses me off. Can't he just take a loss as a loss? "I would have killed him from a dig!" or "We'll see what happens when I get the 80 shot!"... **** kinda pisses me off. Sounds like your typical Mustang driver attitude, to me.

Don't mean to spilt hairs with you. But in the orginal race. He did beat the SS. So infact, there is no reason to take a loss as a loss. However, he did lose to the KB cobra in the 2nd vid. Which your right, however, i believe he knew good and well he didn't stand a chance.
I don't know about these '03 Cobras. They're definitely nice, but not as "awesome" as many make them out to be. The other day, I outran a 550rwhp Cobra from a roll in my 480rwhp cam/nitrous SS. Got him by a carlength.
Those Cobra hp numbers may be hp "peaks." I don't think this guy, at least, had a nice, flat 550rwhp.

As a Lingenfelter Top end kit owner and customer, I will say for the
record. No my car didnt come out of lingenfelter with 500+ hp.
**** but it sure looks like it huh . Are LPE cams are custom and about the same as a 02 Z06.

new Z06's. They been making this grind since 98

GT's can launch well with the solid rear axle.
Cobras get wheel hop with the IRS.
Also, a few of us have built rear ends, clutches and driveshafts that allow 5k rpm clutch dump, dead hook launches on stickies.

Alright here goes.
I am the owner of the cobra in this video and my good buddy steve owns the Camaro. First off its an 02 SS, the 03 was a typo and I didn't want to remake the video as video editing takes forever. Second off the car is around 525 at the flywheel, no where does it say RWHP. Which would be around 440-450 at the wheels. The camaro ran 11.80 on F1's, my car so far ran 11.97 but should be good for 11.40's with a good launch. Some of you guys with your rude comments need to quite being some bitches and shut your mouth. I know I barely won and the comments I put in the video where all for fun, no PUN intended. I make tons of videos and I only do it for fun and to show all you guys. The camaro owner is one of my best friends and we race for fun. Some of you guys amaze me with these comments. Can't you just take the video for what its worth and leave it at that. I dont see half you guys making us videos to watch. Maybe until you guys starting filming races and spend hours editing them, then you can run your mouths. I am in no way a cocky bastard like some of you guys make me out to be, in fact I'm probrably one of the nicest guys you'll ever know. I give respect to everyones car, no matter what it is. (unless I see a cavalier with a 2 foot spoiler

I actually was gonna buy a 03 but couldnt wait 6 more months plus the additional cost over buy my used Camaro. And the fact that I hate the interior on the SN95 body mustangs. Keep rolling out the videos some people do appreciate them. Since when the hell did we have so many mustang owners visit this site?

Well I heard about this site through my buddy griffin, he talks on here all the time and he has an 03 Cobra with a kenne bell, 611 RWHP. Pretty Sick!
