Wasn't the brightest move.. I never start a car on a 2 post lift.. there is some serious vibration in a cammed V8.. I didnt watch the whole video, i stopped watching it when the guy dove into the window.. Better not let the owner see this one.. id be pissed if it was mine.

Not to be the odd one out, but it's easy said than done when it isn't you in the video. you can be quick to judge but it isn't like any of us has done something equally stupid.

Not to mention that it only says the guy getting in the car isn't the owner, who's to say the owner isn't present?

There are also countless certified mechanics who start vehicles on lifts, all I see in this thread is a majority rule of elitist hypocritical posts.

Next, we'll be getting the "Experts" on proper lift safety and the maximum load that the lift allows and how there isn't proper weight balance transferring between the two post and the individual climbing into the car.

I'm no expert on whether or not you can start a car on a lift like that, but if someone climbed in my car like that, we'd be having some words.

After seeing the rims black; the guy going through the window didn't bother me.

If I spent that much on a car; it's gonna have some Bling rims on it.

I put cars on lifts like that and run them in gear to check for vibrations and bunch of stuff. If you lift it properly and is on the locks then your fine. But yeah could have lowered it and been easier.

so the lift doesnt come down lol, not saying it is bad to do lol, as long as the lift is good thats not the issue,it just seems easier to put the lift down then to climb over the lift and car like a jungle gym lol

corvette's are also supposed to be lifted with the doors, hood, and trunk opened because of body flex. My friend is a master technician at chevy dealer & told me

my first opinion was mis leading, i didnt mean that you could only lift a corvette a certain way. just that properly, the doors should be open at least & if working on the car is always good to open the hood also... for several reasons.
i was just excited when i named the trunk. lol

edit: oh, also if anyone is curious just watch how they do it at your local chevy dealer next time your there.
